We passed Broadway Street and 42nd as we made our way.
It was huge. On Broadway Street and Times square the vast commercialized area makes more of a long rectangle than a square. We were swarmed on every side by a multitude of different people, many of whom were trying to sell some coupon or ticket or something.
The ads were amazing. Spread across every square inch of the tall narrow building, they blinked, shimmered and rotated; not many were mere stationary billboards. We saw signs for movies: Brave, The Dark Knight, some lawyer/office movies, signs for cell phones, internet, bizarre M.A.C. and Sephora makeup signs, huge spreads showing the Broadway plays like Wicked and Newsies, and a blinking sign showing people captured on video in Times Square.
It was crazy. We even got our pictures taken by a girl for her private photography portfolio. She will be sending the pictures soon--meanwhile here's a couple of us!
Lots of love!
Isabel
